Elite British colleges award scholarships
Scholarships for elite boarding schools in England
Various English boarding schools at which we arrange school year stays award generous scholarships to students from Germany.
Our excellent boarding schools are set in breathtaking English countryside and give children the opportunity to make full use of their academic abilities and their sporting or creative talents.
The schools impress with their special combination of tradition and modernity. The classroom equipment and teaching methods are state of the art, while from the outside the charming boarding school buildings are reminiscent of the Victorian era.
The boarding schools are characterised by small, internationally mixed classes and a family atmosphere in campus life.
The focus here is not only on your child’s academic development: the colleges’ activity programmes are also carefully chosen so that every musical, artistic and sporting talent of the students can be properly supported.

A selection of possible scholarships
Scholarships for academic achievement
From autumn 2026, students from Germany have many opportunities to receive financial support through a scholarship for an English boarding school. These are usually partial scholarships that can provide a 15–35 % reduction in school year fees. The scholarships are awarded from the age of 13 (Year 9) through to the final school qualification. The boarding schools place particular emphasis on supporting students who are aiming for an ‘International Baccalaureate’ (IB) qualification or A levels, the English counterpart to the Abitur. The requirements for the scholarships vary, but it is important that students stay at the English boarding school for at least one year. In principle, any student can apply for a scholarship, and we help to give your child the best possible chance of receiving one!
Scholarships for middle and upper school years
Sports scholarship
Most English boarding schools offer a varied sports programme with over 60 different activities and sports. For this reason, elite British boarding schools also place particular emphasis on supporting students with a talent for one or more sports.
The boarding schools’ main sports usually include rugby, hockey, cricket, tennis and golf.
Music scholarship
There are also scholarships for musical talents: the English colleges offer plenty of room for self-development and creativity as children develop their musical abilities. There are various rehearsal rooms and a wide variety of musical instruments for this.
Other scholarships
There are many other partial scholarships for students of different ages. Even if, at first glance, you think your child would not qualify for any of the scholarships mentioned above, you should contact us for information about the other scholarships. British boarding schools are always very interested in an internationally mixed and ambitious student body. So if your child is motivated to spend one or even several school years at a renowned British boarding school, we are sure to find a suitable scholarship programme for your child.
