FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Do you want to know exactly? Then ask us – we are here to answer all your questions about the details of your language course abroad. Below we have put together some particularly frequent questions.
How does the advice work?
The more precisely you tell us what you are looking for, the better we can advise you. Simply fill in our enquiry form or call us on +49 69 91 50 96 80. We talk about your goals and wishes and then send you a selection of suitable suggestions.
How can I book a language course?
Just as you like – either fill in the registration form of the chosen language school and email it to us, or call us and make the booking conveniently by phone.
How much does the advice cost?
Our advice is free of charge for you. Whichever language school you choose, you always pay the original price.
When do the language courses start?
Most general English courses start every Monday of the year, so you can plan very flexibly. Some special language courses have fixed start dates, which we will point out to you when advising you.
How do I find a language course at my level?
Our language schools offer courses at different levels, from beginner to advanced. Before your trip or on the first day of lessons, you take a placement test. This way the school guarantees that you get the booked language course at the right level for you.
Here you can determine your approximate language level yourself.
From what level can I attend a business English course?
That depends on the language school. Some schools offer general business English courses from level A2 (“Pre-intermediate”). More complex business English courses often require a language level of B1 (“Intermediate”) or sometimes even B2 (“Upper Intermediate”).
If you are unsure about your language level, simply test your business English with our business English language test.
How long does a language course last?
The minimum length of most language courses is one week – but we recommend going for at least two weeks, as experience shows that you learn much more.
Which course intensity do you recommend?
The number of hours should not be lower than 15 hours, which corresponds to three hours a day. We can offer language courses at all levels of intensity, from 10 to 45 hours a week, just as you wish.
Can I take the language course as educational leave (Bildungsurlaub)?
Yes, that is possible. However, the regulations of the German federal state in which you work must be observed. The language schools have to be accredited individually for each federal state, so we always have to check in each individual case whether a school is accredited for your federal state and which language courses are eligible there. We can explain this to you quite simply in the first consultation.
How short-notice can I book?
If it has to be quick, you can start the language course next week! We check availability at short notice and can tell you on the same day whether there is still a place on the course.
Can you offer me a discount?
That depends on which language course you book. Many language schools offer discounts for long courses of eight or twelve weeks or more. On our website you will also always find current offers from various schools.
Can you help me book a flight?
Of course. We look for the cheapest flight connection for you; you only have to book the flight yourself, as we act purely in an advisory capacity.
When is the best time to arrive?
That depends entirely on the language school. Many schools have fixed arrival and departure days that you have to stick to. Arriving outside the days set by the language school usually involves a surcharge, so even a cheaper flight ticket is not always worth it.
In general, make sure that your outbound and return flights take off and land at reasonable times. Ideally, you should arrive in the morning or at midday and fly back in the afternoon; then you will have enough time for the transfer.
Is there a transfer from the airport?
We are also happy to advise you on the transfer. With some language schools, the transfer is included if you stick to certain airports and times. Others offer a transfer for a surcharge – in that case it is often cheaper simply to book a train or bus ticket yourself and travel independently. Here too, we can look for the cheapest connection for you.
